Old quotes might say that there is no such thing as an ugly woman and that there are only unkempt women, but trust me when I say few of us can boast with a native beauty that does not need much daily improvement.
Beauty is something that requires a bit of an effort especially when age comes in.
Being beautiful means having a radiant skin or shiny hair, lady-like nails, sparkling eyes and a constant feeling of being in shape and self confident. There are of course a few simple steps that can improve your image and your self confidence. I am about to share some tricks with you about how to look good and feel in a perfect shape this summer. So follow my lead, ladies!
First of all, you’ve got to take care of your weight and skin. This doesn’t necessarily mean dieting. I myself totally disapprove of hungering yourself just for the sake of looks and men. You need a healthy diet, an active lifestyle, and a bunch of beauty tricks to do “the magic”. Strong hydration and external treatments give your skin a natural glow. Aliments can do both good and damage for your skin when combined. Apples, chocolate or almonds are very helpful in a good way, but please stay away from chips, sweets and junk food.
Apples strengthen the body muscle mass and maintain the skin’s firmness, so they are strongly recommended by nutritionists. Just like the old quotation says that “an apple a day keeps the doctor away”, these fruits are in the top list of foods that provide longevity, health and maintain your natural beauty.
Almonds are often called ‘’the key to a good looking skin’’. Rich in vitamin E, an essential vitamin for skin, hair and nails, they also contain high levels of zinc, a mineral sort of crucial for health and skin firmness. However, almonds should be moderately consumed due to their high calorie content.
Chocolate contains nutrients and vitamins such as zinc, magnesium and antioxidants. Recent studies have shown that chocolate can keep the depression away. In a 2007 study published in the British Journal of Psychiatry 3000 people diagnosed with depression disorder ate chocolate. Results showed that chocolate actually made people feel better thanks to the Phenylephylamine ingredient, the same hormone that people activate when they are in love. So beneficial for skin, health and psychological mood, it is hard to imagine someone who would refuse a few pieces of chocolate.
But a healthy diet is not everything. An active lifestyle should also be taken into account for your physical and psychological condition. The benefits of exercising are various. Everyone knows that doing sports or going to the gym helps you keep your weight under control, but these are not the only benefits we get from being physically active. Exercises improve mood by stimulating various brain chemicals that leave you a feeling of happiness, relaxation and satisfaction.
Regular exercise, like aerobic, has many benefits for your health. It can improve sleep and muscle strength or it can even strengthen your heart and the cardiovascular system. It can also prevent strokes, certain types of cancer or arthritis. It is best to consult a fitness trainer about what types of exercise are best for you. Stretching, cardio or aerobic are something you can try. Aerobic includes walking, jogging, biking, skiing, skating or even dancing. I personally recommend these as they are fun and helpful in the same time.
We all know women have been using beauty tricks since forever. From Cleopatra’s milk baths to our modern beauty masks, women always tried to look good. Technology has now evolved and we can definitely say that we live in a world full of possibilities. New products appear every day, one better than the other.
An increased interest has been noticed in women body building, as well. To be more precise, women are starting to use natural testosterone supplements for a better looking body or even for medical purposes. This treatment can help your skin and can improve your mood and self-esteem. Testosterone itself is a hormone produced in women’s ovaries in smaller amounts. Its decreased levels can affect teenagers and women, by leading to depressive disorders, low libido and body fat. Women often use these supplements to eliminate symptoms and improve their bone strength.
And all this is for the benefit of having a better life, while having fewer concerns about looks and health.
